Why now?

I don’t usually get phone calls from family, but it was my sister, bawling. My brother is in the ICU and was airlifted from the accident. He was out riding his motorcycle and was run over by a vactioner in their Sprinter van.

He didn’t make it.

In Doctor Who there are fixed points in time that they can never go back and visit, this is one of those situations. My brother is gone and there will always be memories from before and the ones after that won’t include him.

This blog/vlog is to try and deal with the grief and how life is going. Mountain biking has always been my outlet since adolensces. Long hours in the saddle, improving trail design or doing trailbuilding, being with friends or just with myself. Sessioning a section is riding the same segment over until you improve or can ride it clean. Riding in the past has been my respite from the everyday, where it’s just about the bike or just not falling off!

I haven’t ridden singletrack since the accident, just scared of it.

Goint to resolve that, and try to journal how it’s going, cause 4 bikes take up alot of room if you’re not riding.
